We at Prat City LLC. DBA Traffic Safety Institute (“TSI”, “Prat”, “we”, “us” or “our”) know you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy. By using or accessing the Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Remember that your use of TSI’ Services is at all times subject to the Terms of Service at trafficsafetyinstitute.com/terms, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. Your Privacy Rights – California Civil Code Section 1798.83
Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents are entitled to ask us for a list of the categories of personal information as defined in Civil Code section 1798.83 which we share with third parties for marketing purposes and providing contact information for such third parties. What does this Privacy Policy cover?
This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that we gather when you are accessing or using our Services, but not to the practices of companies we don’t own or control, or people that we don’t manage. We gather various types of Personal Information from our users, as explained in more detail below, and we use this Personal Information internally in connection with our Services, including to personalize, provide, and improve our services, to allow you to set up a user account and profile, to contact you and allow other users to contact you, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, and to analyze how you use the Services. In certain cases, we may also share some Personal Information with third parties, but only as described below.
As noted in the Terms of Service at trafficsafetyinstitute.com/terms, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13, or who otherwise satisfies the eligibility requirements set forth in the Terms of Service. If you are under 13 and do not otherwise satisfy the eligibility requirements, please do not attempt to register for the Services or send any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under age 13 who does not otherwise satisfy the eligibility requirements, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. What Information does Traffic Safety Institute Collect?
Our website collects information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (“personal information”). Personal information does not include:
- Publicly available information from government records; nonetheless we may collect information from governmental entity as required or sensible in the provision of our Services.
- Deidentified or aggregated consumer information.
- Information outside the scope of the California Consumer Privacy Act and Nevada Senate Bill 220, like:
- health or medical information covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA) or clinical trial data;
- personal information covered by certain sector-specific privacy laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FRCA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) or California Financial Information Privacy Act (FIPA), and the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994.
We obtain the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources:
- Directly from you. For example, from forms you complete when you register on our website or that you via account settings.
- Indirectly from you. For example, cookies placed on your device to better your experience using our Site, from observing your actions and behavior while using the Site, the links that you click on emails that we send you, or information other information collected by our server logs.
- From third-party business partners including partners with websites on which we have placed web beacons, which allow us to determine that you have visited a particular website or have clicked on a particular link, and from other partners who provide offers tailored to your circumstances, such as insurance providers or providers of other services.
- From governmental entities, as required by the provision of our Services.
- From consumer reporting agencies, as required in the provision of our Services.
We will communicate with you by email, chat or phone with respect to your transactions with us, and may retain those communications in order to facilitate our operations. Also, we may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. Do Not Track Policy.
Your browser may offer you a “Do Not Track” option, which allows you to signal to operators of websites and web applications and services (including behavioral advertising services) that you do not wish such operators to track certain of your online activities over time and/or across different websites. Our Services do not support Do Not Track requests at this time, which means that we collect information about your online activity both while you are using the Services and after you leave our Services.
How does Traffic Safety Institute Share Your Information?
We will only exchange, sell, or otherwise distribute as described below. We will not share your personal information without your consent, except to the extent required by law, in accordance with your instructions, or as identified in this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service:
Information That Is No Longer Personally Identifiable.
We may anonymize your Personal Information so that you are not individually identified and provide that information to our partners. We may also provide aggregate usage information to our partners, who may use such information to understand how often and in what ways people use our Services, so that they, too, can provide you with an optimal online experience. However, we never disclose aggregate usage information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally, as an individual.
Legally Required Disclosures.
We may disclose personal information about you to law enforcement, or other governmental authority in order to protect our interest or if we are required by law to divulge the information.
Information Required for the Conduct of Your Transactions.
We may disclose personal information about you to a third party if the disclosure will enable the third party to perform a business or professional function in connection with your use of the Site or provision of the Services. For example, we may share your personal information with an insurance producer in order that the insurance producer can provide you an insurance quote. You may opt-out of this disclosure of your personal information according to the Opt-Out procedure described below. Further, if you are taking the Course for traffic citation or ticket purposes, we will share your information with relevant governmental bodies as is required to demonstrate you completed the Course.
Information Collected by Automated Means.
We use various tools to enhance the Site user experience and track users of the Site, including cookies and web beacons. Cookies are small pieces of text that a website places on your computer to help remember information about your visit. Web beacons are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that are embedded invisibly on the web pages. Neither cookies nor web beacons can read data off your computer’s hard drive or collect your personal information. We use information collected from cookies and web beacons to improve your experience and the overall quality of our services. We may also use cookies and web beacons to collect information from third parties (such as Google) to help advertise our products and services, to analyze the effectiveness of our marketing or the performance of this Site, and to determine whether you may be interested in other products or services. We also use web beacons to help deliver cookies and compile analytics. Our cookies and web beacons may also come from third-party service providers who have permission to place such tools on our site. In addition, in the course of ensuring network security and consistent service for all users, TSI employs software programs to do such things as monitor network traffic, identify unauthorized access or access to nonpublic information, detect computer viruses and other software that might damage our computers or the network, and monitor and fine-tune the performance of TSI network and this Site. In the course of such monitoring, these programs may detect additional information from your computer such as your IP address, addresses from network packets, and other technical information. Any such information is used only for the purpose of maintaining the security and performance of TSI networks and computer systems.
Agents and Service Providers.
We sometimes contract with other companies and individuals to perform functions or services for us or on our behalf, such as hosting this Site, sending e-mail messages, and making phone calls. They may have access to personal information, such as addresses, or to technical information (like cookies described above) as needed to perform their functions.
Analytics.
Specifically, for analytics providers, we use Google Tag Manager, HotJar, Visual Website Optimizer (VWO). There are services that track and report website traffic.
Advertising.
We may use third-party Service Providers to show advertisements, which may include targeted advertisements on a third-party site after you have visited our website. We and the third-party service providers use cookies to inform, optimize, measure performance serve ads based on your previous visits to our site. Any tracking that a third party performs is subject to their own privacy notice.
We may utilize Facebook Custom Audience, Google Customer Match and/or LinkedIn Matched Audience platforms which enables us to display personalized ads to persons on our email list when they visit those respective platforms. We provide Personal Information such as your email address, address and phone number to the social media provider to enable it to determine if you are a registered account holder. You may opt-out of participation in this program by contacting us as noted below. You may also opt out of receiving these ads from the social media network directly.

Business Transfers.
As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy assets. In such transactions, user information generally is one of the transferred business assets. Also, if either TSI itself or any of TSI assets were acquired, your personal information may be one of the transferred assets.
Protection of TSI and Others.
We reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information that we reasonably believe is necessary to comply with law or court order; enforce or apply our Terms of Service at trafficsafetyinstitute.com/terms and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of TSI, our employees, our users, or others.
Courts and governmental agencies may require the collection of certain personal information (name, driver’s license number, etc.) and contact information (address, phone number, email address, etc.) for administrative purposes. All information which you submit as part of the registration process may be kept in our records for a period of time as required by law. You may review and request changes to erroneous information during normal operating hours by calling our office at (626) 283-5403 and providing proof of identification.
Correcting/Updating Personal Information
Prior to final submission of the course registration page we may provide a way to correct or update that customer’s personal data provided to us. Later updates and corrections can also be made via email, online or calling Customer Support at (626) 283-5403.
Will Traffic Safety Institute ever change this Privacy Policy?
We’re constantly trying to improve our Services, so we may need to change this Privacy Policy from time to time as well, but we will alert you to changes by placing a notice on trafficsafetyinstitute.com, by highlighting the change on the Site by sending you an email, and/or by some other means. If we make any changes to this Policy that materially affect our practices with regard to the personal information we have previously collected from you, we will endeavor to notify you in advance of such change by sending an email to you at the email address that you have registered with us. Please note that if you’ve opted not to receive emails from us (or you haven’t provided us with your email address you are still responsible for reading and understanding the notice of changes to our Privacy Policy posted on trafficsafetyinstitute.com. If you use the Services after any changes to the Privacy Policy have been posted, that means you agree to all and any changes. Use of information we collect is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used.
Is Personal Information About Me Secure?
We maintain industry standard electronic and procedural safeguards to protect customer information and to comply with applicable laws, including HTTPS and encryption. We restrict access to your personal information to those of our employees and to those service providers who need to use it to provide service to you and as otherwise required or permitted by law. We regularly review our policies and practices, monitor our computer networks, and test the strength of our security.
We endeavor to protect the privacy of your account and other Personal Information we hold in our records, but unfortunately, no security system is impenetrable. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time, nor can we guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the Internet.
Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. If you access your account via a third-party site or service, you may have additional or different sign-on protections via that third-party site or service. You must prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password and/or other sign-on mechanism appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.
What Personal Information Can I Access?
Through your account settings, you may access, and, in some cases, edit or delete the following information you’ve provided to us:
- name and password
- email address
- location
- user profile information

We do not store any payment information; this information is processed and handled by our payment processing providers. Consequently, if you would like to purchase additional Services from us, you may have to re-submit such information.
What choices do I have?
You can always opt not to disclose information to us, but keep in mind some information may be needed to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.
You may be able to add, update, or delete information as explained above. When you update information, however, we may maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records. You may request deletion of your account by sending an email to support@trafficsafetyinstitute.com. Some information may remain in our records after your deletion of such information from your account. We may use any aggregated data derived from or incorporating your Personal Information after you update or delete it, but not in a manner that would identify you personally.
